We’re already in the middle of spring, and if you haven’t started your spring cleaning yet, here is a checklist to help you get started. After all, spring cleaning is the first step in getting your home ready for sale!
Checklist:
• Clean out your garage.
• Inspect your roof and gutters - remove the debris.
• Power wash the outside of your home, including the windows.
• Power wash your outside deck.
• Drain all the sediment from your hot water heater.
• Donate clothes that you haven’t worn for more than three years.
• Wash your walls using 1/2 cup ammonia, 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda to 1 gallon of warm water.
• Wash the inside of your windows & vacuum out the tracks.
• Clean all your window coverings and blinds.
• Dust off and wash your light fixtures and chandeliers.
• Clean your lampshades. Replace lightbulbs if needed.
• Deep clean your bathrooms - shower, toilet, floor and sink.
• Inventory the medicine cabinet and throw out expired medicine.
• Wash out your refrigerator.
• Clean the oven and soak stove rings and drip pans.
• Clean all your blankets and bedding. Turn mattresses.
• Move the furniture to the center of each room and vacuum thoroughly.
• Shampoo carpets.
• Have a garage sale.
